Relient K
1. Be My Escape (Acoustic)
2. Must Have Done Something Right
3. The Best Thing
You might have heard of this American pop-punk band before, but they've been off the radar for awhile. Here at indieisthenewpop we feel duty-bound to continue to provide good service to the masses, to take a listen and go grab their album, Five Score and Seven Years Ago, if you can. The latter 2 tracks above are from that disc, with The Best Thing said to be the antithesis of Daniel Powter's Bad Day, i.e. the song is brimming with positive vibes. That would be pretty handy on a wet dreary day like this.
Mae
1. Summertime
2. Soundtrack For Our Movie
3. Sometimes I Can't Make It Alone
It might be of interest to know that Mae is an acronym for Multi-sensory Aesthetic Experience, which I interpret to be a mumbo-jumborish term for good music. True to their name though, their songs exhibit a varied and rich soundscape , way more intriguing than your run-of-the-mill rock outfit.
